in the management information systems program?  


Navigate technical situations with a degree in MIS

Build a resume of sought after skills: application development, database administration, network & systems management, rapid prototyping, business analytics, knowledge management, IT project management, enterprise systems, information security, web development.  You'll also get these hands-on experiences: real-world projects for local companies and community partners, training for industry certifications like Network+, Security+, CAPM, etc, visits to local high-tech companies like Adobe, WhiteClouds, etc, and extensive hands-on applied projects requested by industry partners.

Management information systems (MIS) is the study of people, technology and organizations. Programming is a very small portion of the job. MIS professionals understand how organizations use information and how to manage that information through systems (technology).

Day to day, professionals balance time working heavily with technology and collaborating with many people. They may travel for training or to work with other sites. Constant learning is key!
