“Every professor is willing to work with you. They really love to help.”
WHY ECONOMICS?
I took Macro 2010 with Dr. Keinsley, and his presentation and style of teaching got me interested in Economics. The department is great - everyone’s got their niche and seems to be doing what they love.
INVESTED IN YOUR SUCCESS
Every professor is willing to work with you. They are trying to make your academic career the best it can possibly be, and they really work with you to pursue your individual interests and get the best possible achievement of success.
FACULTY IMPACT
Dr. Koford, Dr. Gnagey, and Dr. Roberts were so great with helping me along my path to grad school. Dr. Cavlovic has been awesome in helping me in my pursuit of independent research – instructing and mentoring in both method and presentation. Dr. Rangaraju – I got a 34 on one of my exams in Econ 4020. He worked with me every week, helping me study and get my grade up so I could pass the class. He gave me great advice and what to learn and ways to learn more in order to get into grad school.
ADVICE
It's typical for students to not be engaged in class initially. I’m a first gen student – so college was a big unknown, and I understand the hesitancy. But the more you engage with professors in class, the more they know what you know, and are willing to fill gaps in your knowledge. They are there to help, and they really love to help. Be active in class.
