ABOUT
Before coming to Weber State University, Amanda was an educator and a marriage and family therapist. For ten years, she was an educator of children on the autism spectrum, in home and school settings. Following the completion of her master’s degree, she worked as a marriage and family therapist, specializing in adolescent substance abuse treatment, adolescent LGBTQ+ issues, adolescent domestic violence perpetrators, mood disorders, and the treatment of trauma.
In need of a change, Amanda made a move into higher education, working in Stanford University’s housing department. More recently, she took some time to raise her family and work as a substitute teacher in a K-8 Charter school. Amanda is excited to be back on campus again!
Amanda loves playing with her kids, baking, reading, and spending time outside. She loves to travel, and is always down for a good taco, bowl of pho, or burger.
