The WSU motor pool consists of 18 vehicles and 1 cargo trailer. Vehicles range from compact plug-in hybrids to large 15 passenger vans, and also include a Ford F-150 and a Stakebed truck with a lift gate.

These are available to rent for university purposes.

Step 1

In order to drive university vehicles, you must take an online Defensive Driving Course from the State of Utah’s website. Defensive Driving Certification is good for two years. If you have not completed the course in the last two years, do that first.

Request a vehicle rental by completing the Fleet Vehicle Rental Request Form.

Step 3

Complete the vehicle rental form when you use the vehicle. You return the completed form when you return the vehicle. Completing the trip form is required.

Additional Information

Try and keep our vehicles clean and in good repair. There is no smoking allowed in the vehicles, including e-cigarettes. A cleaning fee will be assessed for vehicles returned excessively dirty. 

Plug in hybrid vehicles whenever possible during your rental period and when you return them to our parking lot.
