The University provides an excellent retirement program for salaried employees working 50 percent time or more. The University has assumed the total contribution of the two retirement programs, and this benefit is available to you at no cost.
Faculty, exempt staff, non-exempt staff, and executive employees who begin work on or after November 16, 2015, are enrolled in the TIAA-CREF retirement program unless they have previous service credit in the Utah Retirement Systems. New employees with prior URS credit are given the option of enrolling in TIAA-CREF or URS. Faculty, exempt, non-exempt staff and executives hired prior to November 16, 2015, will continue in the retirement programs as designated on Novemeber 15, 2015. Information explaining the provisions of the retirement programs is available in the Human Resource office. Periodic seminars are held on campus to help you gain more knowledgeable about your retirement program.
