Placement and Prerequisites

Concurrent Enrollment Class Placement/Prerequisites

Placement Test Options:

ACT - Weber State University uses ACT subscores to determine placement in math and english courses.

ALEKS - If you want to challenge your math placement based on your ACT scores, your scores have expired or you have no placement, you will need to take a free, proctored ALEKS placement test. In addition to being a placement test, ALEKS provides the opportunity to review and learn math skills so you can increase your course placement.

Accuplacer - If you did not take the ACT in the past 48 months or you want to challenge your automatic english placement, take the ACCUPLACER Reading Comprehension and Sentence Skills tests to find your placement.

AP - Certain AP exams award credit that fulfills course prerequisites and allows you to continue on to a higher level course so it is important to send scores to Weber State and complete the posting process immediately after completion. The exact credit awarded is dependent on the year you took the exam and the score you received.
