What is Data Literacy?

Data literacy, defined by Marrow (2021), is the ability to read, work with, analyze, and communicate data in context.

Ensuring our campus community is data literate is important in helping the university make data-informed decisions, effectively communicate data insights and collaborate with others to use data to promote student success. Additionally, it ensures data transparency and ethics standards are maintained, and leads to continual growth and improvement for student success strategies and goals.

WSU Report Gallery Training

The WSU Report Gallery is designed to provide an overview of tableau dashboards and Argos reports that provide resources to answer data-related questions. Training is offered for those interested in learning more about using the university’s Report Gallery. Registration is available in Bridge. For questions, contact danieljensen3@weber.edu.
