The Marketing and Events Intern performs a variety of post-graduate administrative and technical duties, including projects relating to city communication, intergovernmental relations, and marketing programs.
Examples of Duties:
- Support in logistical planning for marketing events and coordination of the July 4th and pre-July 4th celebrations including patriotic events, pool party, and movies.
- Create social media campaigns for the event such as Facebook/Instagram contests; FB live updates; promotional materials and design posts;
- Assist with the development event strategy, planning, and execution; research event locations, catering options, event giveaways and other necessary event support vendors; review and update event communications to match event goals and current brand identity.
- Collaborate with the event team to streamline the event app process and use onsite meeting technology to plan and capture meaningful data with polling and survey questions.

The History Education Foundation internship is designed to provide meaningful experience for students interested in history, civic education, and public policy while offering flexible scheduling and valuable professional development.
