Communications Intern - United Way - Paid

United Way of Northern Utah is seeking a Communications Intern to assist with creating internal communication '1-pagers' to assist the Collective Impact Division in messaging our work to each other, potential funders, and community partners. This position will work with our PR/Marketing Department to understand our brand requirements and standards for these communication pieces. This work can be flexible with office hours and remote work depending on the project and connection to staff. This position has a one-time stipend of $500 at the completion of the semester and a review of goals set at the beginning of the semester.

Student Sustainability Communications Coordinator - WSU Office of Energy & Sustainability - Paid

The Student Sustainability Coordinator position is for a full-timeWSUstudent who will work in the Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC), reporting to the Sustainability Programs and Engagement Manager. The Student Sustainability Communications Coordinator will serve as the communications/outreach coordinator for Weber State University’s sustainability efforts on campus, and in the larger community. The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining sustainability websites, social media accounts, and the events calendar. She/he/they will collaborate to develop the sustainability newsletter and flyers, brochures, display materials, etc., as needed by the sustainability staff. She/he/they will also be responsible for maintaining the sustainability email listserv, sending out mass email communications, and working on a variety of larger outreach projects such as promoting the Intermountain Sustainability Summit She/he/they will be working extensively with an internal team, as well as with external partners to develop materials. Additionally, this position will occasionally be responsible for data collection and assisting with reporting.

This position is housed in the Sustainability Practices & Research Center (SPARC),but will involve communications and marketing for sustainability at Weber State more broadly, promoting events and initiatives that may come from theSPARC, the faculty Environmental Initiatives Committee (EIC) and/or the Energy & Sustainability Office (Facilities Management Department).

Corporate Communications Intern - Hexcel (West Valley, UT) - Paid

Hexcel is currently seeking a Corporate Communications Intern for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA location starting fall semester. This internship will provide an immersive, hands-on experience in supporting leadership as we communicate globally with multiple stakeholders including employees and customers. You also will support our B-to-B marketing communications by helping to plan and implement trade show projects and develop related collateral (including brochures and social media).

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Supporting the development of employee communications and community involvement activities, working directly with a seasoned, diverse, and global communications professionals

Weber State Mentoring Program - Student Marketing Manager - Paid

The Student Marketing Manager is responsible for providing marketing support to the Office of Mentoring Programs. The individual will work closely with a team to support our mentoring initiatives with its marketing efforts including but not limited to: creating marketing materials, managing social media accounts, managing website and edits, and facilitating class presentations & tabling to recruit. LUXE Pickleball is looking for someone who is familiar with pickleball (rules, strategies, etc.) to create content to be used across social media, website, and other  channels. 

We are looking for:
1. Proficiency in video editing software/tools.
2. Creativity in content creation suitable for TikTok's audience.
3. Understanding of LUXE Pickleball's brand identity and ability to incorporate it into content.
4. Ability to stay updated with social media trends and capitalize on them for content creation.

Hogle Zoo - Seasonal Guest Engagement - Paid

Hogle Zoo is hiring Seasonal Guest Engagement staff to help us run our various and exciting programs on zoo grounds. This is an excellent work opportunity for university students in particular, especially if you have an interest in animals, conservation, education, or in the performing arts. This job helps to build up presentation skills, people management skills, and gives a deep dive into hands-on conservation work. Utah Lieutenant Governor's Office - Communication Intern - Paid

A communications internship is available with the Utah Lieutenant Governor's Office. You would work with Carlos Artiles Fortun, a former producer at KSL and communications director at the Lieutenant Governor's Office. You would be paid $15-17 per hour. The duties are listed below. DUTIES FOR COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

  • Work under the direction of the communications specialist to coordinate social media posts. The position may require some after hours and weekend work.
  • Work closely with the communications specialist and chief of staff to the lieutenant governor to develop and coordinate communications on specific issues.
  • Assist in writing and creating social media posts using X, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Assist in preparing, writing and editing weekly newsletters, blog posts, press releases.
  • Assist in researching and writing briefs for interviews or events for the lieutenant governor.
