Health Information Technology
& Health Information Management

Our health information technology program trains you in technical functions, such as coding diseases and operations, releasing medical information appropriately, maintaining statistical measures, using related computer application software and supervising employees. When you finish this program, you will be qualified to sit for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT®) exam.
 
Our health information management degree is one of the few bachelor’s programs offered in the discipline within the Western U.S. As an HIM major, you’ll develop a background in information systems technologies and their application to the provision of healthcare, advanced statistical procedures and management applicable to information systems, human resources and quality improvement in healthcare. Upon graduation, you’ll be qualified to sit for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA®) exam.
