The Dumke College of Health Professions Admissions Advisment group offers dissection visits to high school level students. These presentations provide students with hands-on learning opportunities, in addition to WSU health professions advisement information.

We mainly focus our dissections towards high school classes due to the content and education level of the presentations. Some of the course subjects we visit are: Introduction to Health Sciences, Human Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Emergency Response and other concurrent enrollment courses.

The dissections we current provide are:

  • Sheep brains (nervous system)
  • Cow eyes (special senses)
  • Sheep kidneys (urinary system)
  • Chicken wings (musculoskeletal system)
  • Suturing (integumentary system)
  • Pig heart (cardiovascular system)

The current cost of our dissection presentations are:
