Hourly Child Care Center
Weber State’s Hourly Child Care Center provides Flexible and Affordable child care for WSU students. Child care is available for any academic-related activity, including classes, studying, testing, tutoring, practicum placements, internships, clinicals, and student teaching.

Summer Special!
$3.00 per hour for all WSU students, faculty, and staff
starting July 1 through the end of the summer semester.
Child Care Details
Pricing
- The cost for students is $3.50 per hour.
- The cost for faculty/staff is $6 per hour.
- There is a non-refundable $15 application fee.
- Pre-payment for care is due every Friday before care can be provided the following week. Funds must be in the account prior to the first week of attendance. Unused funds will carry forward to the next week.
Requirements
- Care is available for children TWO YEARS OLD through PRE-KINDERGARTEN (children are unable to attend once they are in kindergarten).

Children do not need to be fully potty trained to attend; however, the childcare staff are not responsible for potty training. They will provide guidance and assistance as needed. Children should be in the process of potty training and must be able to do the following:
- Wear underwear or pull-ups all day.
- Manipulate their clothing (pull down and pull up pants, underwear, and pull-ups).
- Communicate verbally or through ASL to teachers.
- All parents, new and returning, must submit a new application and complete a parent orientation each semester.
- While hourly child care is primarily for students, WSU employees may use the center during the summer and throughout the year as space is available.
Schedule
Summer Hours:
- Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Fall & Spring Hours:
- Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Each day is filled with a variety of activities including outdoor playtime, Children's Choice Learning Centers Activities, nap time, snacks and more.
The child care center will be closed between semesters, holidays, and breaks when the Weber State University campus is also closed.
Hourly Care vs Back-up Care
We offer two different types of care:
- Hourly Care: A set schedule that remains the same each week, but may change each semester.
- Back-up Care: An alternative form of care (e.g. if your child’s primary care provider is unavailable). You must call at least one hour in advance to confirm availability.
