New Faculty Experience 2024

The New Faculty Experience is a yearlong program designed to welcome you to your new home and acclimate you to the various support systems Weber State offers for your personal and professional development. The experience will kick off with the New Faculty Retreat at Homestead Resort. This program is designed to build a sense of community, and to emphasize the critical areas of teaching, scholarship and mentorship. It will comprise sessions on course design, teaching strategies, student support, travel and research grants, engaged scholarship, and more to help you cultivate your passions as part of our vibrant teaching community.

New Faculty Retreat
- New Faculty Retreat will be held at Homestead Resort from August 14 - 16, 2024.
- Register for New Faculty Retreat
- Please Note: You must register for the New Faculty Retreat by July 12, 2024 to be sure you get a room. After that date, we cannot guarantee a room.
NFE Canvas Course
- There is a Canvas Course that will house content, information, and resources to support you in your transition from novice faculty to experienced faculty at Weber State University. Our team is excited to support you through this process as you cultivate your passion and experience growth as a faculty member on campus. Jamie will be sending all new faculty an invitation to this Canvas course.
