New Faculty Experience 2023
The New Faculty Experience is a yearlong program designed to welcome you to your new home and acclimate you to the various support systems Weber State offers for your personal and professional development. The experience will kick off with the New Faculty Retreat from August 16-18, 2023 at Homestead Resort. This program is designed to build a sense of community, and to emphasize the critical areas of teaching, scholarship and mentorship. It will comprise sessions on course design, teaching strategies, student support, travel and research grants, engaged scholarship, and more to help you cultivate your passions as part of our vibrant teaching community.
Please Note: You must register for the New Faculty Retreat below by July 14, 2023 to be sure you get a room. After that date, we cannot guarantee a room.
Jamie Wankier Randles is the New Faculty Experience Fellow, helping to design this yearlong experience for new faculty. If you are a new faculty member, connect with Jamie to find out more about the New Faculty Experience. Jamie will be sending all new faculty an invitation to a Canvas course with resources and opportunities to connect with your new faculty cohort and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
