Excellence in Community Engagement
Excellence in Community Engagement recognizes graduates who promote community engagement while maintaining academic excellence. Honorees will be awarded a certificate and community engagement honor cord to be worn at graduation. Additionally, the Excellence in Community Engagement recognition will be noted on the awardees' transcripts as well as in the graduation program.

Applications submitted now will be considered for Fall 2024 Commencement.
Students graduating in Fall 2024 may apply.
Complete the Excellence in Community Engagement application by October 20, 2024 if you wish to have this designation on your transcript, receive a printed certificate, and Excellence in Community Engagement cords at graduation.
Students who miss the October 20, 2024 deadline may still apply but may not have the designation listed on their official transcripts. Students may still receive a printed certificate and the Excellence in Community Engagement graduation cords. Last day to apply is December 6, 2024.
All recipients must pick up their certificate and graduation cords at the Center for Community Engaged Learning by December 12, 2024.

CRITERIA
This program is available to undergraduate graduating seniors who meet the following criteria:
- Current cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Completion of 300 hours of direct service, civic engagement, or community research with a non-profit community organization(s) during your college career. (Note: transfer hours from another educational institution must meet qualifying criteria).
OR
- Current cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Completion of 400 hours of direct service, civic engagement, or community research with a non-profit community organization(s) during your college career. (Note: transfer hours from another educational institution must meet qualifying criteria).
Are you a summer grad? Apply now and indicate on the application if you will walk in the Spring or Fall. Note that if you choose Spring, you will need to meet the deadlines for Spring.
