There are two pathways for applying for Air Force Civilian Services jobs, Direct Hire Authorities (DHA) and the general hiring pathway. DHA is a fast tracked hiring process.

Opportunities for Students at AFCS

AF Premiere College Intern Program (requires authorization to view)

500 full time positions are available to current college and university juniors and graduate students. These positions will last 10-12 weeks during the summer and are offered in over 42 locations around the country. Students that participate in these internships may be qualified for a full time position upon the completion of their degree.

SMART Scholarship

These scholarships provide students (currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in the STEM disciplines) paid tuition and other educational expenses, a generous cash stipend, health insurance allowance, and paid summer internships at AFCS.

Who are the AFSC?

The AFSC employs over 34,000 federal civilian employees providing
sustainment and logistics readiness to deliver combat power for America.
