K-12 Educator Resources
Rooting Plants in Utah K-12 Curriculum Workshop
To encourage collaboration among K-12 educators, the WSU Botany and Plant Ecology Department will host a two-day summer workshop for teachers. The workshop will be held in collaboration with the WSU Center for Science and Math Education with a goal of facilitating the development of course materials that not only meet the Utah K-12 SEEd standards but also cut across age groups.
During the workshop, K-12 teachers will be grouped so that a representative from elementary, junior high, and high school is found in each group. The teachers from each group will work on an aspect of a larger collaborative project in which all the data is shared. Teachers will be compensated for their time participating in the workshop and housed for the duration of the workshop.
