Our Shop Spaces

With over 55,000 square feet of space, Weber State University’s Technical Education Building houses our department's five shop spaces.

Students earning institutional certificates in our Maintenance and Light Repair program, associate’s degrees in our General Motors ASEP program and Automotive Technical Education Program (ATEP) and bachelor’s degrees in our Field Service Operations and Advanced Vehicle Systems emphases have classroom lectures and perform hands-on lab work in this building.

Contact us if your training organization wishes to rent out our facilities for short-term automotive training purposes.

Parking and Location

You must purchase a parking permit to park at WSU.

If you’re a student, you may not park your vehicle in the A3 parking lot without purchasing an A3 permit. You may not park your vehicle in the automotive shops at any time unless your vehicle is being used for a class or as part of an open shop night.

If you’re a visitor, you may obtain a permit for the A2 parking lot at the information booth located in front of WSU between the 2 turnabouts. If you park in the A3 parking lot, your vehicle will be ticketed.

See the WSU map for our location (TE on the map), parking lot locations and the location of the information booth (i on the map).
