Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training

What You'll Learn

Our bachelor’s degree in athletic training will prepare you for your career in allied health with skills in the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. This program offers students a wide variety of clinical experience in state-of-the-art facilities.

What You Can Do

This degree prepares you to earn your Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, which will allow you to become a certified athletic trainer and sit for the national Board of Certification examination.

Requirements

  • A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation; 40 of which must be upper-division (courses numbered 3000 and above).
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 in all major courses is required.
  • Experiential credit is not accepted for any major requirements.
  • Required support courses and professional knowledge courses are not accepted if they are older than 10 years; required athletic training major courses are not accepted if older than 5 years.

Graduation rate (taken from United States Department of Education): Measures the progress of students who began their studies as full-time, first-time degree- or certificate-seeking students by showing the percentage of these students who complete their degree or certificate within a 150% of "normal time" for completing the program in which they are enrolled.

Graduation rate is calculated as the sum of students with a Graduated status divided by the total number of students in the cohort (excluding students with the status of leave of absence (medical) or deceased).
