Mentor Program
Weber State University prides itself as an institution that leads the way in access to learning opportunities. The ASSET Mentor Program seeks to provide support, direction, and training as needed for new administrative and support staff members.
This program is designed for those in administrative support who are new to Weber State. Mentors are assigned to new hires to provide guidance and direction as they learn the various programs needed and utilized by WSU for their department and division.
The goal of the ASSET Mentoring Program is to improve the onboarding process for our administrative support team, to create greater job satisfaction and fulfillment for those who support our students, campus leaders, and colleges; and to acclimate new ASSETs to their new role quicker to create greater personal success.
Mentors offer knowledge, insight, perspective or wisdom, provide feedback, help find answers and solutions in a safe and nonjudgemental one-on-one relationship. Anyone who wants to learn from someone seeks their valuable advice and desires to gain from their experience in order to grow professionally and personally will make a great mentee.
Please reach out to the ASSET Mentor Coordinator for more information about the ASSET Mentor Program.
