Play It By Ear

When we improvise, we engage students in creating their own ideas and give them a voice in the group. This teacher workshop presented by the WSU Arts Learning Collaborative will explore how adding improvisation to your classroom through music and play can foster creativity and confidence. Participants will take part in hands-on arts-integrated activities they can use to connect the Utah Fine Arts Standards with other subjects. This event is directed toward elementary music and general classroom teachers.  Relicensure hours are available.  Dinner and registration begin at 4:00.

The Science Around Us: A Glimpse Into the Forest

This event is part of the Arts Integration Webinar Series: The Science Around Us.
Join us as we explore the world around us! Learn about the plants and animals in Utah’s varied forest habitats through dance, music, theatre, and visual art. Using cross-cutting science concepts, participants will engage in hands-on strategies for teaching arts-integrated activities in their classrooms.

Join all BTS Arts Educators and Instructional Coaches in the WSU region as we Collaborate, Connect, and Create! Please note, this event is only open to WSU BTS Arts Educators, BTS Arts Instructional Coaches, and BTS Arts District Administrators. Relicensure hours are available. Participating educators will receive a $50 stipend.  Dinner will be provided.
