It would be difficult to overstate the impact of the visual in our culture. Everywhere we look, our experience of the world is mediated and shaped by what we see around us. Images transmit information, yes — but they also move and teach us.
Contemporary artists and designers have a great influence on our culture. We prepare the next generation of practitioners in the fields of studio art and design to bring creativity and imagination to careers in art, design, and beyond.
Our graduates go on to work in digital and traditional media, using their art to create dialogue and challenge thinking in a complex world. You’ll also be prepared for careers in other, perhaps more surprising ways. Our programs teach critical thinking and creative problem solving skills that are sought after by organizations and businesses around the globe.
Our graduates are equipped for careers such as:
- Independent artists and designers
- Arts administrators
- Educators
- Advertisers
- Designers
- And more!
