INSTRUCTOR Course: CPR/AED and First Aid
Become an Instructor! This course presents the material and evaluation for participants to become a Red Cross Instructor for CPR and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer. This can be a valuable certification for professionals in many fields, as well as community group leaders, youth leaders, etc.
*Completion of this course does not assume employment at WSU
The CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer with First Aid course teaches participants how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for an adult, child, and infant, how to use an AED, and basic First Aid skills. The certification is valid for two years and no prerequisites are required. This course will be held at the Outdoor Adventure and Welcome Center on the Ogden WSU Campus.
Date: Feb 6-8 (must attend all sessions)

Cost
- WSU Faculty/Staff/Student: $100
- Community Member: $185
- Participants may purchase a CPR Mask for $15*
*Participants who choose not to purchase a mask will be provided with a practice mask for the skill session. Masks are sanitized between each use to the American Red Cross Standard.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
- If the course is canceled by WSU Campus Recreation, I will receive a 100% refund.
- If participants cancel after the registration within 7 days of the scheduled program, they will not receive a refund.
- If participants cancel registration anytime prior the aforementioned 7 day refund deadline, they will receive a 50% refund of the registration cost.
Upcoming Classes
All courses will be taught using a Blended Learning format. The links for the online portion of the course will be sent out to participants 3-4 weeks before the course date.
