Points of Pride

The Access and Diversity Peer Mentor Program invests in the development of its Peer Mentors and supports their participation in professional development opportunities. The result is excellence in mentoring. The Peer Mentor Program and the work that the Peer Mentors do have received recognition at multiple levels for which Peer Mentors have an opportunity to share their work at different conferences. 2020

Alyssa Espinoza (Peer Mentor 2017 2020) receives the Weber State University Student Employee of the Year Awards and moved on to regionals.

 


2018

Karina Torres (Peer Mentor 2016 - 2019) receives the College Reading and Learning Association’s Outstanding Mentor Award at the national conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 


2019

The A&D Peer Mentor Program staff receives the Outstanding Peer Education Group Award at the NASPA Region V/VI Peer Education Conference at Weber State University.


2018

The A&D Peer Mentor Program receives the Outstanding Peer Education Program Award for “Social Identity Conversations” at the NASPA General Assembly in Orlando, Florida.


2019

Olga Antonio, Coordinator, receives the WildCATT Disability Collaboration Award for Staff.
