Diversity and Inclusive Programs works to help students explore issues of diversity - including but not limited to culture, ability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, class, political affiliation, national origin, and sexual orientation. Diversity and Inclusive Programming assist to prepare students to learn, lead and serve in a diverse and changing world. Diversity and Inclusive Programs works as a program within Access and Diversity to help serve our underrepresented students through student leadership and programming.
Through intentional outreach and educational opportunities, our goals are to have participants of our programs:
Engage in critical discussions surrounding diversity and inclusion.
Focus on issues that impact a student’s ability to achieve academically and socially, in and out of the campus setting.
Have the opportunity to share ideas in a cooperative atmosphere.
Establish supportive networks, which include students, faculty, staff, administrators and community members.
Feel empowered to speak out or take action on campus and in the community.
Increase inclusion, collaboration and continue to develop an appreciation of and for diversity.

Historically underrepresented incoming students can connect and find support for a successful transition into their first year of college; Students will gain a sense of belonging, network with their peers, become engaged learners, and make connections to campus resources and information. We identify and strengthen campus and community partnerships to foster student success.
Federal Grant programs that provide college readiness and enrollment support services to increase college participation for underrepresented students through various programs, partnerships and initiatives primarily with our local school districts.
