Community Engagement Program

The office of Community Engagement works to foster dynamic campus and community partnerships by connecting our local communities to Weber State University in support of access, retention, and graduation of historically underrepresented students. Our office is currently establishing and implementing strategic initiatives for students, parents, and the community.

Parent/Family Engagement

Parents and family are a critical component to student success. We will explore and implement strategies to better connect parents with higher education as partners.  This program also provides open opportunities for parents to participate in advisory and planning committees.

Circle of Elders (COE)

This past Spring, Access & Diversity hosted several focus groups with Men of Color, African American/Black, Latino, Pacific Islander, Asian, and Native American at Weber. We asked about what and who has influenced you, experiences you've had at Weber State, your family and education path, and how these impact your college life. We have reviewed all of the information you shared and would like to invite you to join us for lunch and conversation as we share that information with all of the groups.

Our next step is to hear from you regarding programs, activities, and opportunities, that you would like to see at Weber. We want to be able to support your goals and look forward to hearing from you.
