  The Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) inspires, motivates, and supports all faculty, regardless of rank or status, in their journey towards teaching excellence and innovation.   The Office of Community Development is responsible for supporting the vision, core values and mission of Weber State University by serving as a catalyst for convening anchor institutions to create civic action plans through community programs and partnerships such as Ogden Civic Action Network (OgdenCAN). OgdenCAN facilitates collaboration and local partnerships in health, education and housing by offering a central point of organization committed to improving the welfare of our vibrant communities in the East Central Neighborhood of Ogden, Utah.

   

  The Community Research & Evaluation team promotes positive social change through community research and program evaluation. Their work informs public policy, improves organizational effectiveness, fosters innovation and data-driven decision-making, and expands community knowledge through research and evaluation that advances our community.

  The International Student and Scholar Center (ISSC) is a resource for international students seeking academic opportunities in the United States at one of the best schools in Utah. Our mission is to support and enhance the experience of international students by providing guidance, resources, and services that foster academic and personal success.

• Mentoring Programs

  Our Peer Mentor Program boasts clear learning outcomes and specific focus areas to provide targeted support on your academic journey. Our mission is to facilitate the co-creation of meaningful mentoring relationships in an affirming community to address gaps in access, persistence and graduation. We empower students to use and share their knowledge to confidently engage in educational experiences throughout their lives. We aim to lead a deep culture of mentoring to transform the lives of our communities.

  The Office of Graduate Studies serves as the administrative body within Academic Affairs that promotes, supports, and reviews graduate education at the University. Together with the Graduate Council, they work with university administration, colleges, and academic departments to ensure consistency and excellence in all 20 graduate degree programs. Our programs have award-winning faculty, online and in-person classes and cutting-edge research.

  The vision of the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) is to strengthen and enhance the learning environment at Weber State University by engaging and mentoring students as researchers and scholars within and across the disciplines while maintaining the highest ethical standards. Educators, employers and graduate and professional schools all understand the value of an undergraduate research experience. Consequently, the University's Undergraduate Research Committee and OUR have worked to provide these experiences to students throughout Weber State University.

• Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC)

  The Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC) informs and educates Weber State students, faculty, staff, and the local and statewide community in order to ensure the sustainability of our region and our world for future generations.

  The Center collaborates closely with the Environmental Initiatives Committee and the Energy and Sustainability Office, serving as a hub to connect campus activities, programs, departments, and community partners in order to advance a commitment to sustainability in the region.

  We work with faculty to incorporate sustainability topics and materials into research and the curriculum.
