Steps for getting started in Wildcat Advantage

#2 Get the Advantage!

  • Complete the HIEE! (e.g. take the INT designated class; go on a national service trip; do a research project and present it at our campus conference; become a peer mentor; etc.)

#3 I’m Done!

  • Record your HIEE participation in GivePulse (Available for download on Google Play and the Apple Appstore). 

  • Reflect on your experiences and showcase the valuable things you learned through ePortfolio (Folio), which can be accessed through Canvas in your eWeber portal. If you need help, please contact Wildcat Advantage or Career Services.

  • Upon completion of each HIEE, you will receive communication from Wildcat Advantage regarding any earned benefits. Follow the instructions on how to access them.

  • Refer to your customized HIEE plan to get started on your next experience!

#4 Level Up! 

  • After completing a HIEE level, you will receive a PDF certificate of completion that you can add to your ePortfolio
  • Congratulations, you're ready to level up!

How to Record Your HIEE Participation

Wildcat Advantage participation is recorded in GivePulse, a student engagement platform WSU uses. This system may or may not be familiar to you as Weber State uses this software to track student involvement across campus and will be using this same system to track your Wildcat Advantage participation.  Please reveiw the information below to familiarize yourself with the system.

Ways to access GivePulse include:

 Logging Into GivePulse Via Desktop

Option 1:

1. Access your eWeber portal.

2. Select the "Campus Life" tab.

3. Select "GivePulse".

4. Select "Login" (top right corner).

5. Select "Log In Via Weber State" (middle of the screen).

6. Use your Weber State credentials to log in via the CAS system.

7. You will be redirected to Weber State’s GivePulse home page.

8. Navigate as needed.

Option 2:

1. Visit weber.givepulse.com.

2. Select "Login" (top right corner).

3. Select "Log In Via Weber State" (middle of the screen).

4. Use your Weber State credentials to sign in via the CAS system.

5. You will be redirected to Weber State’s GivePulse home page.

6. Navigate as needed.

Information for how to download and use the mobile app can be found on the GivePulse website.

 Recording Your Service Hours

Once you complete your experience, please record your participation via GivePulse by clicking on “Add Impact”. This is required for both credit and non-credit participation.

GivePulse refers to participation in events, service opportunities, or class based activities as an "Impact."

Option 1

1. Select the "Add Impact" button from the relevant page.

2. Select the appropriate event or class to add an impact for. 

3. Is your impact related to a course? If YES, select appropriate course name; If NO, skip step 4.

4. Enter impact verification name and email address (phone optional).

5. Enter date of impact (time is not required).

  • Dates may be a range of time

6. Enter impact type and measurement.

  • Types can include:
    • Time, Money, Goods, Training, Voting, Research or Other

7. Select whether impact completed is campus or community engagement or both.

8. Complete the "About Your Experience" section.

  • We appreciate any details you add about your impact.

9. Submit Impact by Clicking Add Impact

Option 2

1. Select Add Impact from the dropdown box found by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner.
2. Search for an Event or Class 

Note: You may manually enter the impact event or location by clicking the “Can’t find it?” button; however, this doesn’t guarantee your participation will be counted for the Wildcat Advantage program.

3. Select if your impact is for a course

4. If YES, select appropriate course name; If NO, skip step 4

5. Enter impact verification name and email address (phone     optional)

6. Enter date of impact (time is not required)

  •     Dates can be a range of time.

7. Enter impact type and measurement 

  • Types can include
    • Time, Money, Goods, Training, Voting, Research or Other

8. Select whether impact completed is campus or community engagement or both

9. Complete About Your Experience section

  • We appreciate any details you add about your impact, however this section is not required for submission.

10. If needed, update privacy and share settings.

11. Submit Impact by Clicking Add Impact
