Renowned opera singer, former NFL player to perform at WSU

OGDEN, Utah – Ta’u Pupu’a, former NFL defensive line and internationally acclaimed opera singer, will perform at Weber State University Oct. 15 as the newest guest of the Browning Presents! series.

Pupu’a returns to Weber State with “Hearts of Fire, an evening with Ta’u Pupu’a & friends,” to perform his favorite vocal pieces in tandem with the Chamber Orchestra Ogden and Kirsten Chambers of the Metropolitan Opera. 

Pupu’a’s performance will incorporate music from the Polynesian Kingdom of Tonga, classic Broadway songs and musical inspirations from across Europe. 

The show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Val A. Browning Center’s Austad Auditorium on the Ogden campus. Tickets are $5 for WSU students and $15 for the public, and can be purchased at www.weberstatetickets.com. For more information, visit www.weber.edu/artscalendar/.
