WSU Hosts Crate Stacking Competition at Climbing Wall

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State Campus Recreation will host a crate stacking and climbing competition on its new climbing wall at the Outdoor Adventure & Welcome Center on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 6-8 p.m. Spectators are welcome to view the challenge.

During the competition, participants will go head-to-head and attempt to climb as they stack the highest milk crate tower before it comes crashing down.

“We're super excited to be hosting WSU's first Intramural Crate Stacking event,” said Amy Knight, Outdoor Program coordinator. “I've participated in crate stacking at other institutions and always loved it. I hope students who participate will come away with a new skill, friends and seeing just a bit of what the Outdoor Program has to offer.”

The climbing wall will be open Sept. 21 and 23 from 5-7 p.m. to allow participants to practice stacking and climbing before the Sept. 25 competition. For more information and to pre-register, visit weber.givepulse.com/event/243330-Crate-Stacking
