OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State University Ogden Venture Course in the humanities is now accepting applications for 2022.

The Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities and Utah Humanities are proud to announce the relaunch of the Ogden Venture Course in the Humanities. This course provides adults facing economic barriers with a chance to begin collegiate studies. The curriculum covers topics including philosophy, critical thinking and writing, art, empathy, literature and American history. The course is free to admitted students, and also covers transportation, course fees and materials, food and childcare.

“This is a very important program,” said Alex McDonald, Venture Program coordinator. “It’s designed to give people the confidence they need to go out and become part of their communities.”

Applications will be accepted until early September, and students accepted into the course will attend evening classes twice a week beginning Sept. 13., at the WSU Community Education Center at 2605 Monroe Blvd. in Ogden.
