Weber State University announces 2024–25 theatre season

OGDEN, Utah — Weber State University’s School of Performing Arts has announced its highly anticipated theatre season for the 2024–25 academic year. Featuring a captivating mix of classic tales, innovative storytelling and musical splendor, this season promises something special for every theatre enthusiast. 

Alice by Heart

An enchanting journey inspired by Alice in Wonderland, exploring themes of loss, love and self-discovery, the show will run Oct. 4–5 and 9–12, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances Oct. 5 and 12 at 2 p.m. 

Twelfth Night

William Shakespeare’s timeless comedy filled with mistaken identities, love triangles and festive revelry will run Nov. 8–9 and 13–16, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. 

Lerner & Loewe’s Brigadoon

A musical masterpiece that transports audiences to a mystical Scottish village appearing for only one day every hundred years, this show will run Feb. 21–22 and Feb. 26 to March 1, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance March 1 at 2 p.m.

Innovation Theatre

Student-created works will showcase dynamic storytelling through song, movement, and collaboration April 4–5 and 9–12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee performance April 12 at 2 p.m.

“Our new season reflects the rich scope of versatility and talent within our student body,” said Andrew Barratt Lewis, Theatre Program director. “This year’s shows are certain to entertain, but also challenge and inspire both the performers and the audience. We invite the community and Weber State students to join us in celebrating the magic of live theatre and this season of surprises.” 

All performances will be held at the Val A. Browning Center on the Ogden campus. Season flex passes, which include eight tickets that can be used in any combination for all shows, are available for $115. Individual ticket prices are $18 for adults, $15 for children under 18, military members and senior citizens, $5 for WSU students, and $13 for groups of 10 or more patrons.
