Weber State Asks for Public Comment During Accreditation

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) are inviting the public to provide comments and insights about the university as part of the "Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness" accreditation review.

Comments may be submitted electronically at this link no later than Sept. 18, 2021. All comments must be signed. Anonymous or unsigned comments will not be accepted. Responses will be forwarded, as received, to Weber State University, the evaluation committee and the commission.

Following the public comment period, Weber State will host an NWCCU evaluation team on Oct. 18–20 as part of the seven-year, cyclical process.

Accreditation is the opportunity for the institution to tell its story by sharing how well it is fulfilling its mission, complying with eligibility requirements, and demonstrating standards of quality and effectiveness expected of accredited institutions.

WSU's last full-scale accreditation evaluation was in October 2014. That visit resulted in reaffirmation of accreditation.
