WSU Mourns Passing of Professional Sales Professor

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State University mourns the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Desiree Cooper Larsen

A two-time recipient of the Utah Association of Marketing Educators Teacher of the Year Award, Desiree shared her expertise with thousands of students during her 36 years as a professor of professional sales at WSU.

She will always be remembered for her unwavering dedication while building the nationally recognized Alan E. Hall Center for Sales Excellence and years of leadership and service to the Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo, among many other projects.

"Professor Cooper-Larsen has been a mentor and friend to many people, while constantly giving everything, and more, she had to others," said Blake Nielson, Department of Professional Sales chair. "Our thoughts are with Desiree’s family. She will be greatly missed."

A scholarship has been established in her memory. Donations to the Desiree Cooper-Larsen Professional Sales Scholarship Endowment may be made at advancement.weber.edu/Desiree
