About Learning Support

Our Mission

Weber State Learning Support empowers students and develops leaders. We cultivate academic growth and a sense of belonging through peer-to-peer academic support led by highly trained student employees. We empower students of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities to solidify their educational foundation, recognize their potential, and develop transferable skills. Additionally, we build relationships with university departments/divisions to foster a collaborative approach to student support.

Goals & Three-Year Vision


Learning Support will be a leader in enhancing the success of all students through peer-to-peer academic support, high-quality training for student employees, and innovative collaborations with other departments/divisions.

Linda Wilson-Hill

As Davis Tutoring & Writing Center’s Coordinator, Linda Wilson-Hill hopes all students who come for help feel welcomed and supported. Linda began her professional career as a middle and high school English teacher. After 12 years in K-12 instruction, she transitioned to higher education, where she spent the next 18 years teaching English and composition at Green River College, the College of Western Idaho, and BYU-Idaho.

Linda earned a Master's in Education from Lesley University and a Bachelor of Arts in English teaching from Brigham Young University. She enjoys watercolor painting, crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and her three rambunctious dogs.
