Supplemental Instruction
Tracy Hall, Room 101A | 801-626-6804 | mackenzieglover@weber.edu | weber.edu/supplementalinstruction
Supplemental Instruction, or SI, is a program in which an experienced student, called an SI Leader, offers free and voluntary study sessions outside of class. SI Leaders are offered in historically difficult classes, so not every class will have an SI Leader. If you want to see if your class has an SI Leader, check out our website.
Learning Assistants
Tracy Hall, Room 101A | 801-626-6804 | mackenzieglover@weber.edu | weber.edu/learningassistants
Learning Assistant's, or LA's, are experienced students who are embedded into the classroom to aid professors, answer student questions, and foster a collaborative environment for learning. LA's are meant to bridge the gap between student and professor, giving students a person they may feel more comfortable speaking to while also being useful to the professor. LA's also offer additional study sessions outside of class. LA's are only offered in certain classes, mainly through first-year learning communities. If you want to learn more, check out our website.
