Help us build courses

We Need You to Help Us Build Our Courses

At WSU professional development, we’re all about meeting workforce needs while empowering workers themselves. In order to do that, we need help from industry insiders like you.

Recently, we acquired workforce-analysis software that helps us find the needs and skills gaps that exist right here in the Wasatch Front. Through our research, we identified a few needed skills we could start molding into quick, non-credit, yet rigorous courses.

  • Writing and communicating in the workplace
  • Project management software
  • Workplace English
  • Conflict management
  • Social and emotional intelligence

In addition, we’re working hard to determine the necessary skills to re-enter the workforce. Whether people have taken time off for raising families or were laid off thanks to the pandemic, they’re not coming back to the same workforce they left. We’re researching ways to get them back in the game.

What our research hasn’t told us, though, is how to ensure that the curriculum surrounding these skills and topics is up to snuff with area employers. That’s where you come in. We’d love to sit down and talk about some of these skills as they relate to your industry, and how to ensure that they could enable entry-level workers to meet the quality standards you expect.
