  • The History Department is now home to the Journal of World History, the official journal of the World History Association, providing WSU student interns the opportunity to prepare historical research on a cross-cultural or transnational scale for publication.  
     
  • The Political Science and Philosophy department offers four different "academic team" opportunities for our students: Ethics Bowl, Mock Trial, Model United Nations, and Moot Court.
     
  • Our Anthropology program was ranked by Great Value Colleges as the 18th Best Anthropology Program in the United States for value and quality.
     
  • Every semester, students in the Department of Geography, Environment & Society have opportunities to explore the world and apply their academic skills and knowledge through field trips with their professors.
     
  • Our Master of Criminal Justice program was included in U.S. News & World Report's 2020 Best Online Programs Rankings.
     
  • During the 2019-2020 school year, the Walker Institute of Politics and Policy ran debates for local mayoral races. The college also hosted Mitt Romney and John Huntsman.
