Strategic Threat Assessment and Response
The Strategic Threat Assessment and Response (STAR) Team evaluates potential safety threats to the members of the Weber State University community in an effort to help the campus be a safe and secure working and learning environment in accordance with Weber State PPM 3-67. The team works to identify and assess potential threats and makes recommendations to reduce or eliminate those threats.
Members of the STAR Team include representatives from the following campus departments:

The team is advised by University Legal Counsel.
You can contact any of the members of the STAR Team if you perceive a threat to the safety or well-being of any members of the campus community. It is most helpful if these reports are not made anonymously, but all information is welcome.
The university encourages employees to bring concerns to their supervisor, Human Resources, or other campus entities as appropriate. For emergencies, please call 911.
You are encouraged to contact the Coordinated Assistance and Resource Education (CARE) Team when you feel concerned about a student’s mental health, safety or wellbeing.
