Scheduling an Advising Appointment
Schedule on Starfish
Step One: Make sure you have completed New Student Orientation. weber.edu/orientation (If you have completed, go to Step 2).
Step Two: Make sure you are declared a General Studies student. Check your Cattracks, degree evaluation tool, within your eWeber portal to determine that you have the correct major declared. Note many General Studies students need to use the downward toggle highlighted below to see the associate degree declaration.

Step Three: Schedule an appointment through Starfish (to schedule an appointment for the current day, please call us at 801-626-6752). If you would like to schedule an appointment with a specific advisor you can find their direct link at the bottom of the page.
Choose a Location for Your Appointment:

For Bounceback Students
If you have a Bounce Back hold, check your Wildcat Mail for your Bounce Back notification to determine if you need to complete the online workshop or meet with an advisor.
- If you need to complete the workshop, log in to Canvas and click on the “Bounce Back Workshop” course. Follow the instructions in the course to have your hold expired.
- If you need to meet with an advisor, complete the steps listed above to schedule an appointment. Be sure to select “Bounce Back Hold” when scheduling.

Stay on Track
Along with talking to an advisor, you can use these planning tools to keep moving forward:
- Use the General Studies Grad Maps to help you plan your degree.
- Log into your CatTracks and click on the "Plans" tool to create a plan for your upcoming semester.
- Register for classes. Learn how to add, drop and waitlist classes.
Schedule with a Specific Advisor
Students seeking advisement for general studies can meet with any advisor in the Student Success Center. If you are exploring and would like to meet with an advisor with more information about an area of interest, choose the advisor assigned to that college.
