Take 20+ Credit Hrs

  • Students may register for a maximum of 20 credit hours without special permission.
  • Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better may petition for a maximum of 24 credit hours, and students with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better may petition for additional credit hours. 

How to Petition to Take Additional Hours of Credit

STEP 2   Save Form as a PDF

STEP 3   Retrieve Signatures of Approval

Send your completed form as a pdf attachment from your Weber email account to the Chair of your Department & Dean of your College for approval if your credit hour increase request falls between 20 - 24 credit hours. 

If you are requesting to take more than 24 credit hours for the semester, then you will need to retrieve a third signature in addition to the other signatures from the Associate Provost.

STEP 4   Submit Form

Submit form one of two ways:

  1. Send completed form from your Weber email as an attached pdf to registration@weber.edu for processing.
  2. Drop off in person at the Registrar's Office windows in the Student Services Building located across the hall from the Financial Aid Office. You must have valid picture ID. 

Once the maximum credit hour limit has been increased you will be albe to proceed to register for your additional class(es).
