Grant Overview

 

Students can obtain Undergraduate Research grants for supplies, equipment, travel expenses and a research scholarship. Travel Grant funds are also available for undergraduate and graduate students to cover expenses related to attending conferences or professional meetings. Please determine which grant best suits your needs by reviewing the different types of grants.

  
 

Long Term Grants

Long Term Grants support substantial, in-depth projects that normally span two semesters and may include summer research. ($3500 maximum request)

 

 

Short Term Grants

Short Term Grants provide for smaller independent student projects including preliminary or exploratory research and follow-up expenses associated with larger projects. ($1000 maximum request)

Travel Grants (To Disseminate Research)

Travel Grants fund travel-related expenses and registration for students who have been invited to perform or to lead a presentation of their independent, scholarly work at a professional or scholarly conference. ($1000 maximum request for Undergraduates, $500 maximum request for Graduates)
