RISE Awards (Research, Innovation Success, and Entrepreneurship Awards)
The RISE Award program provides the opportunity to honor faculty and community members that have distinguished themselves through research and innovation and made contributions to Weber State, our community, and to the world.
Each year, Weber State will be awarding three prizes:
- Outstanding Research Award
a. Research that has intellectual merit and pushed the boundaries of research in their perspective field and/or
b. Research that has had an impact at Weber State, our community, or the nation. - Programmatic Impact Award
a. A WSU program that has had a significant impact on students and the community
b. A WSU program that is innovative in its approach and/or demonstrates programmatic sustainability. - Emerging Researcher Award
a. Up and coming researcher whose project or research has the potential for intellectual merit or the potential to push the boundaries of research in their perspective field and/or
b. Up and coming researcher whose project or research has the potential to impact Weber State, our community, or the nation.
Each prize will be accompanied by a $1,500 award as well as recognition for their contribution to research and innovation for Weber State University.
Nominations for the 2023 awards will be accepted in August. More information to come.
