2021 Awards and Nomination Information
The Office of Sponsored Projects and Technology Commercialization is pleased to announce the second annual Research, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Awards.
The due date for nominations is September 21 (self-nominations accepted and encouraged)
Nominations will be accepted for the following awards, fitting the following criteria:
1. Outstanding Researcher Award:
a. Research that has intellectual merit and pushed the boundaries of scholarship in the researcher's respective field and/or
b. Research that has had an impact at Weber State, the local community, and/or the world
2. Innovation Award:
a. Created innovation that has had an impact on our economy and/or
b. Solved a significant problem that has had a positive economic impact
3. Entrepreneurial Spirit Award
a. Initiatives that have been instrumental in creating an innovation ecosystem in Northern Utah.
Each prize will be accompanied by a $1,500 award. Awardees will be formally recognized for their contributions to research and innovation at Weber State. The health and safety of our awardees during this COVID-stricken time is especially important to us; therefore, we will be hosting a virtual ceremony for this year's awards on Wednesday, October 7.
