Studying Health Administration at Weber State

Weber State’s health administration degree teaches traditional students, as well as healthcare professionals who want to advance their careers, the skills needed for administrative and managerial roles in the healthcare industry.

Health Administration Highlights

As a Weber State health administration major, you can put your knowledge to the test by developing solutions to healthcare issues in WSU’s Healthcare Case Competition.

Great Business Schools ranked Weber State's online master in healthcare administration program eighth in the nation in 2020. No other schools in Utah made the list. It has also been lauded for being one of the most affordable online master's of healthcare administration programs.

Beyond the Classroom

As a health administration major, you can gain valuable experience through an internship with a local health services organization.

Weber State’s Department of Health Administrative Services runs the Future Health Leaders Association, where you can meet fellow students, network with alumni and professionals, and participate in activities like guest lectures and professional association meetings.

Faculty Perspective

Students are given real-life examples from my previous years of professional experience in healthcare administration. When they engage in decision-making through real-life case studies, their learning is enhanced.

Brian Cottle

Our students are able to create meaningful relationships with peers, faculty, and industry professionals, which enhances their understanding of the concepts.  This also helps to create connections between what they are learning in the classroom to the relevance in the healthcare industry.
