MAcc Program Details
With a Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree, Weber State graduates will have the conceptual, technical, analytical and communication skills required for the accounting profession and the necessary prerequisites to sit for the CPA exam in Utah. The MAcc program provides advanced accounting training in audit, government, tax and information systems. There are also opportunities to interact with leaders in the profession.
The MAcc program is also fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). Weber State is one of 130 schools nationwide with an accounting program accredited by the AACSB.
Curriculum
Master of Accounting (MAcc) courses are conveniently taught at Weber State Davis in the late afternoons and evenings to meet your schedule better. Each course is typically offered once per year, so it is essential to develop a course plan that meets all requirements in time for graduation. There is no required sequence of courses so you can enter the program any semester.

One elective must be an MTax course, but others may be from MTax or MAcc courses.
Program Length
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program entails a minimum of two semesters of full-time study for a student with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Students with other business-related degrees can expect to spend about two years in the program. Those with non-business-related undergraduate degrees should plan to spend at least three years in the program.
Scholarships
The School of Accounting and Taxation offers several tuition waivers and private scholarships for MAcc students. Scholarships are awarded three times a year to students for each upcoming semester based on diverse criteria including but not limited to GPA, GMAT scores, program participation and individual scholarship criteria.
We have limited funds for our most qualified students in the MAcc program. Students must apply for scholarships they are interested in per semester to be considered. Scholarships are also available through Discover Accounting.
