Shelly Belflower

Director

Shelly L. Belflower works at Weber State University as the Director of Academic Technology Services, and Interim Director of IT Business Services, as part of the IT Division. She started at WSU in 1998 as an hourly PC Technician in the Goddard School of Business, working for the Business school for more than eight years. She accepted a position in central IT in 2006.
She received an Associate of Science degree in Information Technology Sales in 1999, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems & Technologies in 2000, and an MBA from Weber State University in 2003. She taught for the HIM (Health Information Management) program and business students about information technology, databases and systems for 18 years.

Nancy Jarvis

Associate IT Policy and Planning Administrator

Nancy Jarvis joined the university’s professional staff in 2000. She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration/Marketing and a Master of Arts in English degree from Weber State University. Nancy works to embrace ITIL as a framework for best practices by building a forecast for a four/five-year strategic plan for the IT Division. She strives to add value to the university and in everything she does.

Heidi Munk

Directed Projects

Heidi Munk came to Weber State as a student in 1994. She studied Geology, Geography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In 1998, she was hired as an Operator in Computer Operations. In 2001, she was hired as a Windows Systems Admin here at Weber State University. She left Weber in 2004 to go to Graduate school. She returned to Weber State in 2006 as a fill in operator and was hired back as a manager in 2007. She was promoted to Data Center Manager in 2010. When the position was dissolved in 2014, She was brought into the Vice President of IT Office where she began doing special projects and directed projects. She enjoys her job very much enjoy and looks forward to coming to work each day.

Ty Naylor

IT Marketing and Training Manager

Ty Naylor is responsible for Campus and Public facing events and communications from the IT Division. His passion is to establish, develop and enhance communications and relationships with people and to inspire others to innovate and grow personally and professionally.

Jared Van Orden

IT Finance and Office Manager

Jared earned a B.A. Degree at Weber State University in Finance with minors in Spanish and Entrepreneurship. His background is in Entrepreneurship and Financial Management. He enjoys working with organizations and businesses to help them clearly define their objectives and surround those objectives with processes and systems to meet their goals.

He looks forward to contributing to the mission and goals of the IT Division using solid accounting and budgetary skills to oversee IT Division funds. His responsibilities include managing the preparation and allocation process of the division's budget as well as providing information and reports, and reviewing financial and personnel transactions to insure proper regulations are followed.

In his spare time, he gives time and energy to worthy causes that impact the community he lives in and loves. Some of that time is spent consulting with individuals who want to begin their dream of business ownership or are currently involved in their dream and want to take it to the next level. His hope to impact those with whom he associates.

He enjoys spending time with his three young children. He loves Ogden, and Weber State is a big part of that.
