Shane J. Schvaneveldt, PhD, is a Presidential Distinguished Professor in Weber State University's Goddard School of Business and Economics, where he teaches and conducts research on environmental sustainability for business and on supply chain management. He developed and still teaches the first university course in Utah on environmental sustainability for business. Along with his WSU colleagues, he received the “Green Pioneers Award” from Utah Business Magazine, and as a Fulbright Scholar, he researched environmental initiatives in Japanese business. His 100+ papers and presentations address topics ranging from zero waste, net-zero carbon emissions, green purchasing and environmental/social dimensions of products to quality management and supply chain management.
