Join us for a panel discussion with Laura Stott, Leah LeGrone, and Kathleen Cadman, drawing from the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, The 1619 Project.

Honors Research & Engagement Symposium

Join us to celebrate the end of the semester with honors faculty, staff, and students! We'll have yummy treats & hot drinks! At 12 noon we will present outstanding student awards. End the semester with a bang, not a whimper, and drop by!

Honors Semester Kick-off Picnic

Location: 40th Street Park
Join us for our annual picnic! Meet Honors faculty, staff, and students! We'll have raffle prizes and all-you-can-eat street tacos! Bring a friend or family - children welcome.
You'll get an extra raffle ticket for bringing your own tupperware/utensils!

Are challenged books really all that scary? See what the controversy is all about! Join us for a discussion with Dr. Richard Price where we will learn about literature that covers race, ethnicity, and LGBTQ+ that has been banned in the United States.

Honors Food for Thought: Constitution, Law, and Justice: Understanding the Supreme Court
When: Thursday, November 17 @ 12:30 pm
Location: Honors Center, LI 324
Much confusion and unrest has arisen in the aftermath of recent Supreme Court rulings. Join us for a panel discussion and Q&A session to learn more about the Supreme Court and the Constitution, and how both of these impact human rights. The panel features Dr. Mark Denniston (Criminal Justice) and Melina Alexander (Women & Gender Studies) and will address questions from both a political science and human rights perspective.
