Grad Finale is a fun, free, interactive event where you will pick up your free cap and gown for graduation. You don’t need to bring your Wildcard or prepare at all: just show up and have fun!

More Grad Finale Information

Can’t Attend Grad Finale?

Starting Nov. 14 you will be able to order your graduation cap, gown and other accessories online and wildcatstores.com. Your items will still be free but you will have to pay for shipping. In order to have your items shipped to you, place your order by Nov. 22.

If you submit your graduation application later than Nov. 22, you can still receive your graduation cap, gown and other accessories and pick them up at the Ogden campus Wildcat Store in the days leading up to graduation, or at the Dee Event Center the day of commencement, Dec. 13.

Departmental Honor Medallions
Graduating with GPA Honors
Graduating with honors is based on a student’s cumulative Weber State University grade point average and is indicated in the commencement program, diploma and transcript.

Students who qualify for GPA honors at graduation may pick up an honor cord with their cap and gown at Grad Finale. Students belonging to a private or national honor society should contact the honor society concerning any academic regalia.

There are no GPA Honors for Master’s degrees or certificates. Contact the Honors Program for additional information.

GPA Honor Categories
All students graduating with GPA honors receive the same purple and white cord regardless of which category you are in.

Bachelors Degrees
- Summa Cum Laude: GPA of 3.9 or higher
- Magna Cum Laude: GPA of 3.8 or higher
- Cum Laude: GPA of 3.6 or higher
Associate Degrees
- High Honors: GPA of 3.85 or higher
- Honors: GPA of 3.6 or higher
