Oliver Snow

Executive Director, WSU Online

Oliver Snow is the executive director for WSU Online, where he oversees a team of instructional designers and learning management system experts in order to provide the best educational experiences for both students and teachers. 

Oliver and his team were instrumental in guiding faculty, staff and students through the tumultuous years of the COVID 19 pandemic, when the university had to convert to all-online delivery at a moment’s notice. 

Since the pandemic has waned, Oliver’s team has turned its attention to ensuring high quality online delivery, working with faculty to instill best practices in that modality. 

In addition to serving as executive director, Oliver is also a part-time adjunct instructor at Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, Utah. During his twenty-six years in the workforce, he has held positions in hospitality, retail management, human resources, training and development, instructional design, system administration, database management and higher education leadership.

He is a full-time PhD student in the Learning, Design and Technology (LDT) program at the University of Wyoming. His research interests include the study of minority populations in regards to higher education and the effectiveness of technology-enhanced teaching and learning.
